H4350 got it there, but felt hotter than I was happy with (and QuickLoad even agreed I was around 66kpsi)Loaded up a pressure test for my 7mm-08 with H4350 and R16 for 160 Accubonds. If I can get even close to 2700 sanely in the Tikka, this may be my winner (hoping)
Ok fine I'll tell you how it went.Loaded some fireforming loads for new brass in my new 22-250. Testing to get something reasonably accurate before setting up my dies and doing serious load development. Should be able to shoot them this afternoon and see how they do.
I know the feeling! When we moved about 6 years ago, I went for a similar period with no 'home'. Getting my permanent bench finished was a milestone!Temporary work bench is in and I’ll start setting stuff up tonight to start loading tomorrow after 6 months of no place to load!
Finally
Coming from a former 300wm shooter. You will like them. Finally trying the 208 ELDMs in my 300 Win Mag. Had a bunch of plated Barnes brass and a pile of Hornady brass as well. 73gr, 73.5 & 74gr of IMR 7828 SSC book says they should be close to 2900 at 74gr.
Not pictured is 410gr Hornady SUBx 45/70 loads with 41gr IMR 3031 in Starline brass

That’s why I started this threadOk fine I'll tell you how it went.![]()
Got the temp bench up and running for some therapy today as a matter of fact. Feels good.I know the feeling! When we moved about 6 years ago, I went for a similar period with no 'home'. Getting my permanent bench finished was a milestone!
Interesting. There seems to be some areas where that powder shines. I’ve seen a few guys have success in both 308 and 6gt specifically. What cartridge did you use it in or try to use it in?Finally killed the last of my IMR-4166. I generally liked the Enduron powders, especially 4451, but I never could get 4166 to do anything well. It's been stale on the shelf for three years and I just used it for some 150gr 30-06 practice loads. Chapter closed!
I agree. I had one good result with it in the '06 loads I mentioned, but in the 223 and 22-250 it was accurate but with lame velocity, the opposite in the 30-30, and it was flat out dangerous in my 416 Remington (horrible pressure signs from the start). I'm sure in the huge landscape of cartridges there are places it works really well, just not for anything on my shelf.Interesting. There seems to be some areas where that powder shines.
