I want to rebarrel this one to a 24” 223 AI but I struggle to throw out a factory barrel that still shoots ha.


Pulled a couple flyers. Not sure why the 3rd group had 2 different dispersions but I’ll probably leave it be. If I can’t kill a coyote with that I have other issues. I’ll load a few and test at 300 yards but it should do.

I’ve taken mine and 69s to 500 with the same accuracy.

I want to rebarrel so I can shoot all the heavies I have as well but it shoots too damn good!

Stuck 300PRC ADG case in RCBS sizing die. Extractor failed to budge it and pulled the threads. Next might be oversized tap and extractor. Also taking opportunity to upgrade from RCBs to Redding die.

Stuffed 15 30-06 (54.5 grain of IMR 4350, 168 SMK's, 3.20 OAL, Lapua brass, CCI mag primers) for my first accuracy test of my 30-06 Shilen Alternut barrel I got spun up on my Rem 78 action (if it does well, I'll transplant it to my Rem 700 action).

Also stuffed 15 7x57's (47 grains of N555, 162 ELD-X, 3.175 OAL, Norma brass, Fed 210M primers) for my first accuracy test of the Benchmark cut-rifled barrel I just had mounted on my Zastava/Interarms Mauser. Probably a bit cool of a load, but OAL is a bit shorter than I load for my Tikka 7x57, so I figured I'd back down a hair just to see where it's at first.

Loaded up a bunch of 6.5CM odds and ends components I had laying around: 130 ELD-M, 140 RDF, 142 SMK, 145 Match Burners, 147 ELD-M. Using a bunch of different powders that I was almost out of: Superformance, Varget, StaBall 6.5, Shooters World Match.

Now, I've got a bunch of plinkers and barrel warmers.

Saturday I built 100 fire forming loads for the 223 AI. Bought 500 55 fmj's from Scheels for $55 then used some BLC 2 I had laying around. 27.5 grains should be enough to blow the shoulders out.
Hoping to get the gun back from LS wild here soon. Airlock nanos went to jail Friday.

Finished my Black Hills 77 TMK clone on Saturday. 18" Tikka .223 w/ TBAC UL 7.

Starline .223, CCI 400, 23.6 gr TAC, 2.260 COAL. Sub-MOA 10-shot. 2760 fps (60* F).

I think I finally found a combo for my new 25 Creedmoor shooting copper bullets. I wasted a ton of time trying to like the speed of Staball 6.5(close to 70 bullets) and when I went to H4350 I found a great load with less than 12 rounds. It’s very repeatable and consistent too.

Loaded up some 7mm-08 150gr ELDx and 162gr ELDm to test in my son's Ruger American along with a seating depth ladder of 140 nos accubonds in my 6.5cm

Well, certainly not hot enough to cause a problem, but not nearly as cool as I thought this one would be. 25 inch barrel spit these over the magnetospeed at 2717 FPS, which is dancing pretty near to what a 280 Remington would do in a 24 if we believe load data. QuickLoad and so-on thinks I'm still in the mid 50kpsi range at that velocity, and no pressure signs, but I'm thinking I won't warm that up much/any from there, and will probably back down at least 1/2 a grain for my accuracy test.

Torqued an 18” 6GT barrel on the ol’ Tikka T3.
It will have to live on the KRG bravo until the Rokstok lite ships.

After that I loaded 200 230gr 45acp for a 1911 only match this weekend.
