So here is my 2 cents and the logic behind it. Stick to the 6.5 creed. The 7-08 & 308 are still the same case. Some have made a valid argument for the 6.5 prc with 1 exception, you want factory ammo in remote places. The 6.5 creed is like the #1 hunting rifle right now, love it or hate it, your ammo is on the shelf with variety. You can get 140 gr barnes for moose etc, and easily. Would I chase coastal brown bears with my 6.5 creed, probably not my 1st choice, but I'll bet its lethal with proper placement.
If I could change 1 part of your plan, it would be for you to handload. You can go from a 95 vmax for antelope and light critters to a 160gr solid should you find it necessary.
