A 55gr Nosler .243 going 3900 fps is where its at. The Coyotes get so scared of that bullet they actually die before it hits em.

About 6 months ago moved from a 6cm bolt to 22nosler AR which I've been happy with for follow up shots. Debating building a 22cm in 1:9 to shoot 60gr nbts and use for coyotes/ground hogs.

Now that the 22 Creedmoor has been announced by Hornady/Horizon it should be getting more mainstream than it already is.

Im not very serious about yote hunting but I've used my 22cm on one yote with 88eld.
It's my range toy/ going to shoot some deer, antelope and such with it. Couple cow elk this fall maybe.
I will say it's my favorite rifle of all to shoot. Got lucky and put one on moa steel plate at a mile after about 6 attempts but spotter never saw any splashes. Just too tiny
Was using a 6x swfa 😁
22-250 flattened coyotes well for me with 60 grain v max also.

I just found out about that .22 ARC the other day! That cartridge sounds awesome to me! LIke a Modern day 22-250, but that can hold longer sleeker more modern high-bc bullets!

Kinda seems like it might put the nail in the coffin of something like a .243 Win, looking at the specs.

.204 with the 32 grain vmax. My Savage was a littel finicky and didn't stabalize the 40 gr as well. Still a great performing bullet.

Not bad at all it doesn’t seem. I generally shoot about 20 dogs a year and they dump right away. No baseball sized exit holes or anything but I don’t skin them out.
I have a lot of them and they shoot great out of my 24 inch barreled AR so I haven’t tried much else.

Good to know, when my supply runs low I'll have to try them

I think they are certainly worth trying. Sorry for not having a better response to the hide damage question. I’m just looking for controlling some predator numbers in my deer and antelope areas.
