What bullet for 22-250 & coyotes

i used 55gr game kings one season and had A LOT of runners. Switched back to blitz.

I tried the 53gr nosler varmageddons on beavers and it's quite explosive on them things. Haven't been able to find any coyotes yet this year.

Anybody tried the sierra #1390?
It's a 55gr BTHP but looks like a trashcan the HP is so large.

Are they pretty violent?
Ive loaded some for 223 but havent tried them yet.
In my 1/14 twist 22-250 they do not leave large holes, my experience with them is mostly bang flop dead. No runners, they seem to deliver alot of energy into the coyotes and anchor them. I experimented with nosler ballistic tips in various weights 40-50 grain, v-max, ect and had more coyotes get up and run with big holes in their sides than I wanted. This is a mild load, when I loaded it closer to 36 grains it put a much bigger hole than I wanted.

I m a huge fan of the 64 grain .224” tipped gameking at 22-250 velocities if you have the twist rate to shoot it. Next to that I really like the 60 grain vmax and if that one is too long look at the nosler 50 balistic tip. All those are excellent pills for coyotes.

53 vmax has been my best performing round by far, switched to a 75 eldm this year in my 22 250 so we shall see how that goes

Any report?

Ive got a fast twist 250 ive been thinking of trying the 73 or 75s in.

I LOVE the terminal performance of the 108s in a 6, so if the .22 cals are half as good as the 108s, they'll still be pretty good!

When fur was worth something, I was a big fan of the 50 and 55 grain Noslers BT's, the 52 grain Sierra HPBT was right in there too.

Those were the best balance of coyote anchoring potential, and "fur friendliness" I found.

Wasnt, and still arent a huge fan of V-Max, Varmint Grenades, Blitzkings, etc. More damage, and more runners. As a general rule, I stay away from bullets with Varmint in the description, or stuff designed to vaporize p-dogs.

I wacked a big heavy bred bitch four times with those damn Blitzkings one spring. Good hits too! Lots of superficial damage, but they werent getting in to anything good. That was enough for me!

But, with fur being not even worth the haul back to the truck (or the cost of a good high end factory round), the worlds your oyster as far as bullets.

Shot 4 with them, they absolutely flatten coyotes. None of mine made a mess, ever the porcupine I shot with the 75 eldm wasn't torn up at all we were amazed. Would have more to report but been using my 6 arcs with 87 vmaxes most this year
