I hope a lesson learned for most is that health is not just something you focus on during a ******* pandemic and its something you try your best to maintain year round, i have read obesity has a huge role in the severity of symptoms, i went to our local health food store to pick up my families monthy vitamin regimen and to buy our fresh produce, all the produce still in good inventory while the boxed sugared out cereals completely gone, i found that ironic along with the fact all the vitamin c gummies were bought out... I guess thats the society we live in though, we dont think about those things until its staring us in the face

Noticed the same thing and couldn't agree more!

Btw, vitamin D will do way more for you and your immune systerm than vitamin C!

This is from our lead Dr. Where I work, we all know each other so it is less formal. Also the man is not your average Dr . He is basically House md or dougie Houser from Tv compared to most I have worked with in the past. Hope this helps someone.

There was a young punk celebrating spring break in FL on our local news last night. "If I get coronavirus, I get it. I'm not gonna let it stop me from partying"......I about punched the ******* TV.
Told my wife that for the rest of my life, one of my job interview questions to any of the younger folks is going to be "What did you do, if anything, to celebrate 2020 spring break"?
OK Boomer LOL. This is a lot of the reason they’re still out there doing it, a bit of a FU to the older generation. That and when we were late teens early 20s we think we’re invincible. We’ve all been there. Don’t take it so personal.

How many here have ever gone in for a flu test? I don't understand the fascination with knowing that you absolutely have a specific virus instead of some other virus. If you get sick, assume you have it and stay home.
I've gotten tested for flu, because if it's early in the process, there are specific meds to lessen and reduce the length of the flu. Otherwise, no it doesn't matter if it's a cold or flu, I treat the symptoms. Bill

Kind of ironic that those most fearful of getting it are flocking to the one spot where they are probably most likely to find someone with the virus....LOL.
My brother has been sick, read bad sinus. He went to Dr and Dr told him he probably doesn't have Corona and doesn't need test. He told him to take it easy and gave him antibiotic for sinusitis and he's feeling good.

Cold calm by boiron.....homeopathic meds for cold/sinus. They also make something for flu. Both are supposed to be very good.

My issue is, we’re trying to take this seriously. Then on the news there’s footage of the beaches in Florida packed with spring beakers. Clear Water said they’d close the beaches......next Monday.
If this is so bad and we have to avoid groups of 10 or more, WTH is spring break still going on? I know, MONEY.
That is part of the FL mentality tho. Hurricane coming? Let’s go surfing. Hurricane parties are quite common among younger crowds, everyone hang out and ride out the storm. Grew up doing it, chasing swell during the day and chasing other things at night. Disaster prep is just a part of life down here.

Also it is a city by city thing, some beaches are closed, the ones that are open are packed. You blame them? That is their ‘outdoors’ down here. Probably safer than being in their apartment building or in their single family home with 4 roomates...

That's awesome. I'll add that to my other question I ask.... "Did you work with your father or grandfather, when you were growing up." If the answer is No, long term there has been a 100% fire rate. I can teach a skill set. I cant teach work ethic.

Your question will answer the same thing. Ethics.

My answer would be both! I don't interview people but I've often thought about what questions I would ask if I did...this is one of them!

For everyone bashing "millennials"...I think it is important to keep in mind that you're bashing a generation of people as a whole rather than bashing a mindset. Being a Millennial (born between 1981-1996) is very different than being a "millennial". Those two things are VERY different. Besides, most Millennials wouldn't be on Spring Break...you're probably referring to those from Generation Z or "millennials", not Millennials. Just my $0.02.
