What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Yea the timing is kind of weird.

I feel at this point that there must have been cases in the us for a longer than we knew. We didn’t just have a case show up over night and it spread from the west coast To the east coast in a day like the media is making it seem.

I work in an ER in Tx, I found out yesterday gloves, hand sanitizer, maks, etc are no longer available from our ordering company and nothing will be shipping out of China where all these products are apparently produced. So in the near future we will be dealing with some real problems. Also was told they expect every employee to end up with the virus soon, not what I was wanting to hear. Also heard rumors that one of our top Drs believes the CDC is not being fully honest on how bad this disease really is.. not trying tonfan the flames but I did become somewhat concerned after the talk yesterday.
 
It is obviously going to be an issue on a few fronts. Once the global death toll hits 1/2 a million and every state has active carriers walking around some folks will loose it. What I read was that it takes 4 days for the infection rate to double once it gets going in an area. 2 to 8 in a week, 2 to 512 in a month, 2 months is 250,000 if I did the math in my head correctly.
What happens when they quarantine big cities in cali? Cops and first responders stay home or are sick and need to be isolated....

Not trying to be crying wolf but these things are possible. What about all the homeless drug addicts in those west coat cities? is the local government going to tell them to stay home? That is another very big potential issue.

Are the west coast junkies so much different than than the Midwest American opioid junkies?
 
If it really has the potential to be "catastrophic" why in the hell were there no travel bans to keep it contained?

There are not people crapping on the sidewalks here.... I do not have any firsthand experience with the west coast cities so I am going off info that I have reviewed but that info did not paint a pretty picture of the situation in general before the kung flu hit.

they certainly crap in the woods, more sidewalk than woods in cities. NYC post 9/11 had a major black out, numerous days. Pretty much zero crime. Cities tend to become large communities during true duress.
 
If you do not understand the difference between someone crapping in the woods and someone crapping on a city sidewalk as people walk past I cannot help you.

everyone lives in a different environment, I see non-homeless drunk white folk urinate on the sidewalk after leaving the bars. Some don’t have a choice. Like you said, you haven’t seen west coast cities. Seems stupid to pontificate on it.
 
I am pretty happy that I have not seen the west coast cities in many, many years. :love:

All those homeless folks living in close quarters and a large % of them just being concerned with doing drugs may be a huge issue as this infection spreads. I do not think that that is a stupid statement at all. Blowing my statement out of context may be questionable thou.

It’s unfortunate that it takes out old people at a higher rate but a lot of stuff does, falling in the shower for instance or pneumonia. Its the unfortunate reality of growing old.

You do understand that a shit load of people get the flu every year and don't get tested right??? They just get sick for 2-4 days then go back to work and feel like shit for another 3 days and then are good to go! Thus the flu data would be skewed as well. . . But the data is all anyone has to work with!

This is exactly correct.
They are pissed off Trump is doing so good, still. Cant push the agenda with Trump picking it apart.

Dont forget when this gets way worse, we need to come together. Communities need to help each other not destroy each other. The virus is bad but the economic blowback will be just as bad if not worse. Make no mistake about it, this issue is not a mistake.

I hate to be captain obvious here. But all this “ out to get trump” corona virus conspiracy theory’s are pretty freaking wacky considering the time line of all this. Just saying.
 
Saudi’s just came out they are cutting price by 20% to the world and increasing production sine Russia would not agree to cuts. Fuel budget for hunting season is looking better every day.
