He's repeatedly stated he didn't have any interest in doing so and I've actually been impressed with his picks including Zinke...

I wasn't crazy about Trump getting elected but certainly would have been less excited about the opponent and their platform. I don't really care about divisiveness and hate.... it's been there since the dawn of our country and isn't going to leave. Our nation has this andy griffith/mayberry mentality that we'll get back to the 1950's when everyone worked hard, there was no poverty, was happy and there wasn't anyone shooting anyone else..... that's a misconception. Racisim, hate, violence etc.. are going to continue regardless of who's in office. I didn't like obama, and I didn't like the president before him..... time will tell about Trump but in the last 10 years I've grown severe disdain for career politicians. The positions were never meant to be one's "career".... that's why there's terms.... I have to wonder (on the left or right) if you're constantly seeking a larger promotion in politics do you really have the nations best interest in mind or your own?

This year I voted based on a platform, not because I liked either candidate..... but Obamacare almost made my business fold. I am excited about the prospect of hiring people again instead of wasting money on tax write offs because I can't afford to have more employees.

Your logic/analogy is flawed. Let me explain, people should use a Hunting/Gear forum to debate hunting gear...they should not use it do debate the merit of political positions. The OP started a thread that he thought it was a great day...he did not start a thread for people to show their divide over, really what are nothing more than personal opinions. If you dont think yesterday was a great day, start your own thread about your feelings and leave it for people to post. If you want a political debate, please take it else where.

Yesterday was in fact a great day!!! If half of the things Trump says come true America will be far better off than what has gone on over the last 8 years. Alot of people need to get over themselves, Hillary Lost, Trump won, it's over and done with. For the very least give him a chance and see how it goes.

It is a great day, today I woke up in a land where I am free to talk openely about my government, I can hunt and fish and teach my sons those things. I have a job, I have my health and the love and respect of friends and family. I don't have to worry about my family being raped, beaten, kidnapped or blown up by an IED. There is food in my refrigerator and I have electricity, hot and cold running water and warm clothes. I can travel state to state without showing "papers" hell I can even carry concealed in every state ( props of the job). This reminds me of something my Grandmother told me when I was little, she said " when Wall Street fell it didn't hurt us, we didn't have money in a bank, we killed deer and fished and made gin in the bathtub and we didn't need the governments "help" with anything, we took care of each other." Yep, it's a good day God has surely blessed us all.

^^Thank you. I almost regret even putting my last post, but I get worked up when people use the same worn out lines about DJT. Look, I come to Rokslide to talk hunting, gear, and like minded conversation. The OP topic for the thread was pretty specific, he was happy for the transition, if you do not share that sentiment, than start your own thread and see who posts in there. Lets not turn this thread in to another forum to show the divide. Just my two cents, fill free to disagree.

Thank you man. I needed a laugh this morning. Because I think you'll agree when you stop and think about it. And I really say this with no malice or making fun of you. I think we'll share a laugh when you see it. The irony of you saying people should not post disagreement of the OP but at the end you say feel free to disagree with me. I did lol. I do appreciate your thoughts. I disagree but it's all good.

I can get on board with you there. Our bad days are pretty darn good when compared to other places in the world.

I will say this. I'm not Catholic but people talk about "Catholic guilt". And I know it's not an exact comparison. One thing I do not like about the US is we seem to have this "American guilt" or "rest of the world envy". Like other countries in Europe are so sophisticated and smart. There is not one darn country in this world that I would rather live in.

Except Djibouti. It'd be fun to say I'm a Djiboutian. It could be your nationality and the awkward dance moves I make on the dance floor.

I am glad Obama is gone! I was pretty pumped that Trump referenced God, stated we have no business telling other countries how to conduct themselves, protect other countries borders while doing very little to protect ours, and is willing to say we have a problem with radicals.

A brain surgeon can run HUD. You don't have to be a community organizer. Honestly, putting intelligent people in positions with no experience, is better than putting people in positions who have experience, but lack intelligence.

You'd be better off debating devos. But trying to use ben carson as an example of a shitty cabinet pick is an uphill battle.

You're allowed to feel trepidation. I did when obama became president, twice. But a lot of people who are against trump, are acting like its the end of times. Some of it goes a little far. I mean, watch some of the videos of these people screaming, playing with play doh, puppies, counseling, etc. Nobody says you have to like it,or even give him a chance. But some shit is really going too far.

I disagree. What does a guy that lives in a mansion know about HUD? I'm not saying put a community organizer in the position but someone that has a knowledge of what some of the repercussions of their decisions will mean. Don't make it a politician. I don't care. But there are plenty of smart non politicians with experience in the field. This screams cronyism to me.
