Western big game scope

Just ordered a Seekins PH3 in 7mm Backcountry for my elk & moose hunt in north Utah region. Will be doing much of backcountry hikes. Looking to get a new scope for it. Thinking of 3-20x range in 50mm scope. Is there any sub $1000 scope I should keep my eye out for? Currently looking at Athlon Ares ELR 3-18-50mm since it's on sale for $568.

The Athlon Ares ETR 3-18 is discontinued so, if you ever have to use the warranty you’ll have to go with a different model.

I would look at Leupold VX series. If you can swing a little bit more money, the VX5 3-15x44 is an awesome scope for the money.

I'm pretty sure the 7bc has wear a leupold to get close to advertised speeds!

If on a budget, look at SWFA. The 3–15x would probably suit you well. If you can manage a few more doll hairs, look at something from Trijicon, or the nightforce SHV 4–14 X 50.

There is nothing by vortex or Leupold that belongs on a rifle in my opinion
