How long ago were those Rams taken? Based on the clothes I'd guess 25-20years ago. Am I wrong?

The truly are amazing looking animals. Also how many other sheep were harvested between these big boys? Just curious if you helped get 60 rams over many years and those were the highlights or if you are a ram whisper to the big boys?

To answer some ?? I was not with Shankster,,an outfitter than has retired and moved to Ca. All rams were taken from 1989 to 2001, I then guided in the Wrangells until a new business came about that requires me here,,also I'm getting old and fat. My dream hunt is the chugach mtns up towards Tazlina way but tags are hard to draw, there's still big rams in the Alaska Range but every guide that doesn't have a federal area in the Brooks or Wrangells has swarmed in some area's making hunting a PITA>

Absolutely great sheep and country you've hunted Waterrat, thanks for sharing those. It's great to see the genetics of the AK Range.

Thanks for the pics waterrat. Some measurements would be cool if you recall for some of us still practicing our judging. Good to hear you live in gods country by illiamna. Hunting that caribou herd in its heyday was awesome. I know there are plenty left for locals. I hope you get that chugach permit in 48 hours!!!!
