After thoroughly cleaning the stock of any grease and dust I went on to clear coat. I used SprayMax 2k Matte Clear cans. I did something a little unique on this stock. I wanted to have a glitter finish but still have carbon showing through. To do this inlayed down a coat of clewr, giving it a few minutes to set, then sprinkled fine glitter over the clear. After about an hour of drying I did several coats of clear over the glitter. This locked the glitter in. I actually really like how this turned out, as it left a light grit to the finish which I think will really help in handling the stock in wet conditions.

Really liked your technique of embedding T-nuts into the foam and also really clever leaving the glitter in there for grip!

I'm curious if you got any photos of the final inletting?

I'm planning a Howa-stock in the next couple of months, so would love to see your final inletting
