I don’t think the Democrats are in charge. Plenty of resources available if they knew then.

Oh, yeah they were. Who do you think pushed the impeachement proceedings? Plenty of resources, sure. They are scrambing now hoping they can keep up with it afraid it will get away from them. Estimates are "tens of thousands" will die and a decade of economic recovery. Three months is three months.

Three months from now is late June coming up on Independence Day. Three months means only nine more to go for a viable vaccine which puts that into Dec instead of next spring break.

Yeah, it would've really mattered and it was known then.

Uhh, yeah. It's called fighting off an impeachement trial. It's called wasting time and resources trying an idiotic charade.

Dude, we were talking about this virus crap when it was still in China back in early February at the breakroom table during lunch. I guaran-damn-tee you they knew it's potential impact before then.

I‘m just hoping our taxes don’t double next year to pay for all the grant money the .gov is handing out....
I wish our taxes would double or triple to pay for the money being spent. What's criminal to me is running a deficit our children and grandchildren will have to carry.

Everyone take a deep breath. This virus is more contagious than the flu from what the experts are saying. Many more people are contracting this new virus than anyone knows and recovering just fine. Its expected to be around for at least 3 cycles from what has been said. I personally know a guy who was in very bad shape with a compromised immune system that was in ICU he is going home today. The meds may not work on everyone but are working for some. Remember the media in this country loves their ratings and drama. Take what they are saying with a grain of salt.

5 miles back I want you to go research ARDS. It stands for acute respiratory distress syndrome. If you have a patient who presents with these systems then the meds wont do shit.

I still haven't seen any statistics on this........it sounds like "if you get put on a ventilator, good luck, you're going to die". If that's the case, then I'd start offering the drugs to whoever tested positive and actually wants to take them even knowing the risks to them, BEFORE they get to the point of needing a ventilator, and allow them to make that determination. Our health should be 100% our decision. It's the Dr's responsibility to explain the risks, but should ultimately be the patient's decision.

Just this last year I was having these horrible pains in my abdomen, pretty much where the gall bladder is. I had the pains for a year straight. They did all the tests known to man and finally did a stool sample. It came back positive for some bacteria that they actually had to look up because they had never heard of it. They told me that in the few studies they had with it, some antibiotic seemed to kill it, but in all the cases it didn't seem to change their symptoms at all. And that there were other side effects that could appear because of taking it. I "chose" to take the antibiotic, and the pain went away and hasn't been back since. That was in November. I'm all for people having the freedom and liberty of being able to make their own health and medical decisions, regardless of the outcome.

People will leave NYC.
Already are. Governor DeSantis just ordered everyone arriving from NY and NJ be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival in Florida and health checks for arriving passengers. Nothing good ever comes from the G*d dam”d Yankees ! They come down here and spread all kinds of filth. From their politics to their diseases they ruin everything they touch. It was mostly yankee kids we had to close the beaches because of and I’m sure more stringent lockdowns are coming because their f’n parents and grandparents are running here to escape the disaster that NYC is. Never acknowledging that they’re the disaster.

Coronavirus shock is destroying Americans retirement dreams. From the right wing propaganda news source known as Bloomberg

But according to the left, only the rich are invested in the stock market, so they can't be talking about the stock market crash from this.

The entire world is dealing with the same problem as us. It has nothing to do with republican or Democrat politics.

Yes, the world is. But how this country is dealing with it has everything to do with republican and democrat politics. Look at the childish charade they played with the relief bill. Look at the dumabss wasteful items nitwit nancy threw in initially that were tabled. What other BS was snuck in that will be discovered later?

As far as piggybacking a high price for posterity, thank the gov't for that...

Heck , my dads side of the family came from Southern Illinois after WWII. My moms side goes back to the 1720’s in South Georgia and migrated down to south Florida after the Seminole Indian war. Difference is my family came south as young people to build their future whereas the Yankees made a bunch of money up north and come down to retire and tell us how we’re all backwards idiots and how we should do things like they do where they came from. Funny but sad to hear them bitch about all the taxes , regulations , and expensive housing up north and how they could never afford a big house on a golf course up north then the next breath tell you that we’re need better zoning , building regs , taxes for public services , etc. I’m sure it’s the same for westerners and Texans dealing with California retirees. I see The Sun Valley Idaho area has a bunch of Chinese virus suffers. Wonder where that came from...

I'm real different than 99% of Californians. The way the rural west is like now, is how the rural town of Yorba Linda, birthplace of Nixon, 15 miles from Disneyland was in the 60s. I like the Western culture for the most part, except clicky people. I wouldn't want to live in a place where people wouldn't accept me if I try and assimilate and don't try to change things.
