Iv had Srs, area 419, rrs, along with some other odd balls. My choice if I had out of all of them is sawtooth with the rlok.

The sawtooth universal work better with more rounded stocks than any other I have used as well.

Ive used clamps from other brands, (RRS and Accu-tac for example), they all have tensioners that can adjust, and it will lock fine on ANY rail. I feel like that quoted line is just a push to sell more of their branded stuff to people who dont understand how locking clamps work.
I must not understand how they work. I have a RRS clamp that isn’t tight on most Arca rails.

After a lot of shots I’ve also had other clamps slide on Arca rails.

For RRS and 419 to come out with a solid lockup Arca system around the same time frame, I’m guessing there were complaints from people that actually use them a lot.

Do the clamps you’re using have tensioners?

Tighten them a 1/4 turn.

My area419 rails are arcalock, and the clamp on my bipod is as well. I pulled the pins from the clamp as I also have an mdt arca rail and a krg one.

The clamp doesn't slide on the non arcalock stuff. Works fine.

Tripod clamp which has been a couple different brands of photography tripods have worked just fine.

The arcalock and rrs version were made for people who use their stuff hard. There was also a period where companies used their own arca spec, so some clamps would slide given enough force. So probably part of the reason for the lock systems.

I use rails that have the R-Lock holes in them. And I use the RRS SC-ARC clamp for my bipod. I've had a bipod almost walk off the end of a rail during a long range session and it was extremely annoying. My Anvil head for my tripod isn't SC-ARC because it didn't exist when I bought it but I wish it was. for continuity and security.
