They're not very popular right now so at the first turn of bickering, we're deleting them. We allow them if they pertain to hunting, and are true, but please be respectful.

thanks!

Good to hear Robby! Too much politics and not enough hunting is why I left Facebook and Instagram and started using rokslide daily.

Completely agree. Not sure if any of you listen to Todd Snider but he has a great line in one of his songs. He says, "Republicans, thats what scare people these days. That and, democrats." Haha. Hope you're all well.
I have never heard of him. All this reminds me of the song Stuck in the Middle with You by Stealers Wheel

I say just don’t allow them. The tundra forum I’m on hands out 30 day vacations for even a single political post. It’s nice to be able to escape the crap. Nobody is going to change their mind one way or the other no matter how convincing you think your opinion is internet stranger.

I think it's important to have them. I can't trust the news, and I don't have the time to go looking for reliable info, validate, and form an opinion. I appreciate the learned members of this forum doing it and sharing. I also appreciate the multiple perspectives of the same issue. I am not active on any other forums at this time.

I’m sure there are some good political forums for that with like minded individuals. I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to see just hunting related talk on a hunting forum. I’d be on a political forum if that’s what I wanted to read

it may resort to that. The challenge comes in that some political threads are about hunting.

You know what political forums have though? Folks with agendas. I like that Rokslide is probably/mostly dudes and gals who, after taking care of their families, like to hunt and fish and trap first and foremost, and leave politics to folks who just like to argue.

Obviously what goes on here isn't my or anyone's call except the ownership and moderators, just adding my perspective that allowing civil discussion may hold more value than they might otherwise expect.

Exactly my point, leave politics to folks who just like to argue!

While I mostly agree with you on this, the problem is that many get their news from the MSM (CNN, MSNBC, etc.) and that is all they know. Those outlets are not reporting everything and they are doing all they can to portray Trump in a bad light. Not that he is a perfect person, but just beware of folks parroting CNN and the like. Because if that is all people watch, there's no wonder some don't like him. Just don't be an ostrich.
