I've been using "barefoot" shoes for almost 15 years now and recently switched to Vivo Tracker ESCs for hunting as I couldn't stand wearing my stiff boots anymore. They are great and I can see using them on early season hunts, but I'm looking for something a little different for later season hunts (warmer, waterproof, etc.). I know the Lems Summit has some decent reviews, but others are saying the grip/quality isn't the best.

Has anyone tried the Bahe Rediscover? Seems like it may have potential as it is waterproof, slightly bigger stack height for warmth, and has a rubber rand.

I know Vivo makes a winter version of the Tracker, but they are sold out of my size and when I contacted them, they said they are unsure of when or if more product would be made until later in the year. Are there other options I should be considering for temps below 25 and snow? Is some kind of overboot for the Trackers a potential solution? Seems like a big hole in the market at the moment.

Bumping to top as I'm still curious.
Why not just get the new, waterproof, winterized version of the Tracker?

Here in the PNW, our entire camp rocks the ESC's up until Fall/Winter wetness begins. We tested these Winter SG 2's (WSG2) this year and they're the sh*t, waterproof, warmer, etc.

Before they released the new WSG2's, I was applying KG boot-guard where the sole meets the boot, and wearing a neoprene style waterproof sock for winter conditions. It's a good half measure, but the WSG2's are way more sensible for PNW Fall/Winter.

Xero alpine. They claim to have some insulation. I have never had a pair. Just looked at them. I'm not sure how long they would last looking at how many seams there are

I tried a few different styles of Xero and they all started falling apart within a year, whereas I've yet to wear-out a Vivo product in ~5 years.

Just my two cents between the brands.

The Winter SG 2's are sold out from where I've looked (I wear size 13). I really regret not getting them when they were available, but I was waiting for more reviews to come out and potential sales before pulling the trigger and ended up being too late. I reached out directly to Vivo and they said they do not have production plans to make more until maybe next winter. Hoping they release some early fall before my November hunt, but still looking for other options. Also considering ordering the textile version and sizing up to just wear a thicker sock, but I don't like the tread as much on those.

That's a bummer, they are definitely worth picking up. Between the ESC's and the WSG2's I don't really have any need for my other hunting boots.

I'm traveling for work right now and this site came up as having them in stock from a Google search. Don't know anything about this company and shipping is probably crazy, but they say they have 13's.

What were the temps like when you were running the WSG2s? Sitting, active?

These have me curious. Love the ESCs but I get cold fairly easily. I suffer in a pair of I think 1200 g Pronghorns when its cold out. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Winter storm yardwork clean up for the most part, mine didn't arrive before our incredibly short hunting seasons ended here in WA.

Active, 30's and 40's, paired with Farm-To-Feet Damascus sock.

Just a heads up that the winter tracker II came back in stock. I'm glad I continued to check. They seem to be going fast for those that are interested. They were already out of the brown in my size so I snagged a pair of the black ones. I also grabbed the tundra as I was able to get a discount code and figured it was worth a shot to test both at the same time and if it didn't work, they have a great return policy. I can start another post to leave a review depending on how they work out.

I’m in Montana and am waiting for some company to fill this niche. Cant believe no company has jumped on this yet. I wear the LEMs summit boot and they are awesome down to the teens but for all day in those Montana frigid temps, need something a bit warmer still.

I have the regular bolder boots and was considering the summits as well. How is the waterproofing on those? How is the grip in mud, snow, and side hilling? Any issues with durability or would you feel comfortable using these on a multi day backcountry trip? I wish they made the lens breck in normal colors for cold weather.

I love them. I have two pairs.

One boot of one pair noticeably had a leak right off and my foot was pretty wet. Otherwise, waterproofing has been pretty solid.

Otherwise, durability seems great. I wore them all hunting season last year in Montana and they were comfortable. I probably did around 60+ miles off trail while archery hunting in mountains in about 6 days. Traction was solid. Id for sure wear them on a backpack style hunt most of the year.

I probably would not wear them yet on a backpack style hunt in frigid snow conditions.

I only see Tundra in womens. Are you seeing a mens one?

I got the men’s size 13. I just looked again and they aren’t showing up now so wondering if I got the last pair or if there’s an issue with the website. You had me nervous that I accidentally ordered the women’s!

Whoops. Sorry about that. If they don’t end up working I can PM you to see if you’re still interested since I got them at a discount.

Yea let me know.

I ended up getting a pair of the Winter SGs in 12.

I would have been taking a bit of a gamble with 13s anyway, if they fit you they likely would not fit me. Vivo fit is so all over the place its hard to tell. I have 11s in the trackers that are kind of too small and 11s in the forest escs that I am swimming in. The told me the winter ones run small and if I factor in heavy socks I should size up to 12.
