I got an elite victory 37 I'll make you a good deal on.

Really you need to shoot several to find what you like. Fair amount of deals come up on them but you need to know what your looking at. The Hoyt podiums were pretty good. The new Mathews TRX and TRG are good. Traverse can make a nice 3d bow as well. It will depend on what your shooting too. Marked yardage you don't need speed, shooting unknown you will want speed to make up for range estimation. Bowtech makes some decent target bows but I'm not real familiar with them, PSE as well. Elite had a strong following til the fiasco with contingency payout, that probably won't matter to you.

Any recommendations? Hoyt looks like they make some pretty nice target bows. We do have a shop here that could basically service anything I buy so I am fortunate in that regard.

I have just started thinking about this, and need to get over to our local archery shop. I will keep your Elite Victory in mind, as I am thinking gently used for my first one. I'm pretty sure my draw length is 28.5", beyond that not sure what I want.
