Velocity results with supressor on a 22 creedmoor

Curious who here may have documented velocity gains from a suppressor out of a 22 creed and what those looked like - if any?

My 8 twist Tikka is being sent out to the gunsmith today to be setback/rechambered in 22 creed and I have having him chop the barrel down to 20" - with the idea of running a light hunting style suppressor that's no more than 5.5-6" and not exceeding 26" in total barrel length.

Maybe I am off base but, in my head, I am thinking if I lose say 50 FPS from the barrel cut, I can make that up by adding a suppressor?

Also, the gunsmith can thread the barrel and add a shoulder, or can add an adaptor - which of those avenues is generally the better option? I am thinking of adaptor for availability to use other suppressors down the road.

What length is it currently? I have never seen a gain of 50fps by adding a suppressor, so I doubt you are going to gain that much. I’ve always considered the gain negligible.

Well the factory barrel is 22.5 so it will be loosing 2.5" roughly. I am guessing Ill be loosing around 50 FPS. Not a huge number, but I had just always heard that you gain velocity while shooting suppressed?

You may see a velocity gain, but it will be in the 5-15 fps range. Not 50 fps.

22 inch Tikka T3x reamed to 22 creed 1 in 8. 75 ELDM Alpha SRP CCI 450 Varget 39.4. YHM Turbo T2 Suppressor 5 shot group.

I’m hoping to be about 3200-3250 with the 80 grain ELDx at the 19” barrel I ended up on….anything over that is a plus….
