As the title states, I am stepping into reloading for the first time. I’ve read through many of the posts on the forum. I am planning to order a RCBS RC kit.
I am planning to buy the SAC die sets as well. And I was wondering what everyone’s first hand experience with them looks like.

I have previously used unknown munitions to custom load a 135 atip for a 600 yard open match and a 130cx for hunting. They worked great I just want to load myself now.

Pretty much everything SAC makes is really nice so I am betting their dies are as well.

But, RCBS Matchmaster or Redding Master Hunter dies will work just as good. And so will standard FL dies from Forster/RCBS/Hornady/Redding.

I would get h1000, 4831sc, or n565 and the bullet of choice and load it into Peterson or ADG brass with a CCI 200 or Fed210M primer and have at it.

Redding FLS dies suck, particularly in this caliber, they are too loose at the base and dont have a vent hole.

I have been super happy with my hornady bushing die for the PRC, loading the 156 over N565 has yielded good results for me.

I will admit, my 6.5 PRC Redding sizing die was not my favorite.

But the no vent hole is a non issue. I've never had an issue with Redding FL sizing dies in 270 Win, 270 WSM, 30-06, 6.5CM, or 6.5PRC.

But that's the beauty of the world we live in, plenty of options to pick from on reloading dies.

I only buy and use regular RCBS 2 die sets(full length sizer and seating die). Had a buddy bring me a set if Hornady dies for his rifle. Those Hornady dies were trash. I told him to come get them out of my house or I was throwing them away. I bought a set of RCBS dies for his rifle chambering and all the issues went away.

Redding Type S FL Bushing dies. No issues. SAC bushing. 0.5" MOA. 0.0025 runout or less most of the time. 125 grain, H4831SC, WLR, Lapua. No clickers 6-7+ reloads.
