I did some searching and didn’t find anything about the UV Vane. I like to test and try new vanes but almost always end up back with AAE Max Stealth in an Arizona EZ Fletch helical jig.

Currently mostly Max Stealths
Few Iron Will 2.5 but I don’t like how high they are, otherwise they work well.
Few 5 fletch AAE max 2.3 and AAE 2.3 Airrazor in 5 fletch. These seem to fly right with max stealth but are slow fletching on a Bitz.
I really like AAE Max 1.6 in a 6 fletch. Pretty quick to fletch with 2 rounds in an Arizona EZ.

The UV looks pretty close to dimensions and weight of max stealths.

I have no interest in the UV arrow but has anyone shot the vanes? Thoughts?

Well I went all in on new vanes for 2026. I’ll have plenty of fletching and shooting to do.

Ordered
-Ultraview UV 1K, likely 3 fletch
-AAE Airazor 26 (for a 4 fletch matching Max Stealth 3 fletch weight)
-AAE Airazor Talon 3.0, 3 fletch
-DCA Mini Sabre, didn’t like the supers but might have been the high profile. Planning 3 fletch Arizona EZ, 4 fletch bitz 2-2.5 helical and maybe 3 fletch bitz.
-Bohning Alpha 2.8” 3 fletch
-Altra 2.5” Pinnacle 3 fletch Arizona EZ, 3 fletch bitz and maybe 4 fletch bitz.

I like the altras, they seem like a pretty cool option

I have shot the UV arrow and have put the UV vanes on some Easton LR 4mm. I didn't notice that they stabilized broadheads any better than stealth's, but they are very quiet and consistent in weight and shape.

They do "yellow" over time and dont hold the white color well.

Good to hear on the Altras and UV Vanes. How have those been fletched for those that have used them?

The altras Ive only shot 3 fletch right helical with a bitz. No reason to shoot more than 3 of them unless you really like fletching and want to draw it out a little longer

Like most things archery, I dabbled all over with 6 fletch, 5 fletch, 4 fletch, and 3 fletch… I used to really like 6 blazer minis, it was a great setup, but I have circled back to only 3 fletch, if 3 doesn’t steer good enough, I’m using the wrong vanes, there are a ton of good 3 fletch vanes, the altra being one.

I have a feeling I’m just going to roll with airazr 26’s. I have been trying a bunch of different vane combos the past few weeks, and the 26’s give me a little more clearance, which is a good thing on my mg33, love the bow but the cable guard is dumb

Aren't the UV vanes just TAC vanes? Sure look like it, but I could be wrong.

The Altra vanes are just rebranded Q2I, which are pretty solid in my experience.

UV are most likely a refurb on the vanes Q2i makes for victory, they get all their other components from victory as well. The outserts are 4.5mm versions of victory 4mm outserts, and they use IP nocks like victory, victory most likely dust the assembly and fletching as well.

I guess it’s possible Q2i makes both, however they don’t offer a vane in either of those shapes or sharp angles. I’ve also never seen a Q2i base that wasn’t black.

Sorry to derail a bit but…I shot the Airazor 26 last year in a four fletch and picked up the Talons to try out this past week. How did you determine to fletch in three compared to four?

The Talons are giant. I also watched a black ovis YouTube video with the AAE salesman. He said to 3 fletch Talons.
Video title is “AAE Vanes Breakdown to prep for 3D and hunting season”

4 talons is overkill and unnecessary. I have shot the talons quite a bit and like them, 3 is plenty

Deciding 3 or 4 is fairly simple, build both and shoot them with a fixed head that isn’t really forgiving and see how they compare

QAD exodus fulls will show tuning or form issues, the 3 blade vpa 125+ are also pretty fickle compared to some

If you can’t tell the difference, you don’t need 4

Got the Airazor 26. Fletched them up 4 as left helical.
Struggling a bit to get much offset on them. Even 2 degrees with the DCA tool is pulling edges up. These vanes are stiff and don’t conform at all to the shaft.
Adjusted a little less 1-1.5 degrees and I’ll see how those glue up.

The rest of the vanes came yesterday. I weighed each kind then started messing with some combos.

So far AAE Airazr are quickly falling down the list because the stiff narrower vane base is kind of a pain to get complete contact and good adhesion.

Bohning Alpha I like, the material feels very similar to the Bohning Heat but maybe a little more flex.

Ultraview vane I really like. Very interesting the lower center part is actually recessed on both sides. Wide base, good flexibility and easy to fletch on the one arrow so far. Some distortion on a few vanes out of the package.

Altra Pinnacle 2.5” I’m really liking this vane. Good base, it’s not the typical or standard Q2i base, material is not textured at all like most Q2i so I’m thinking someone else is making the pinnacle vanes. Material is flexible and almost a hair sticky while also being smooth with enough rigidity. I sent a CS email to inquire on fletching directions. I made 2 arrows and the left helical jig fought me some, I might have had too much glue or it might like to be primed.

DCA mini Sabre the jury is out. Fletched a 4 fletch to left and to right. Tried a 3 fletch Arizona ez fletch and the tip/tail kind of stuck but the center bowed up on all 3. Not the easiest to get sticking but I think I can manage. I like the size much better than the super Sabre.

I’m liking the mini Sabre in a 4 fletch and 2.5 degree helical. They are slightly louder than 3 max stealth fletched hard helical with an Ez fletch.
Altra 2.5 pinnacle beats them both for noise in a 4 fletch with 2.5 degree helical.

I really really like AAE 23 in a 5 fletch. I’ve used the max but Airazr are slick and stiffer. I don’t know if that is better or worse and might run out of time to test this year. I have a pack of Airazr 23 to try if I have time.
AAE PM 16 does really well for me in a 6 fletch from an Arizona ez fletch.

I typically gravitate back to a 3 fletch max stealth from an Arizona ez fletch but this year might be a tougher decision.

Talons are out
Airazr 26 are out at least for now. Weren’t that easy to fletch and get to stick but my glue was also old so the new bottle is doing much better.
Bohning Alpha 2.8” eh I don’t know. They don’t excite me a ton
UV vane is still in the running but needs more testing. I’ll get a sound comparison soon

I found the UV vanes to be fairly fragile. They easily pick up grime from 3D targets that causes bending and distortion. They yellow pretty quickly. I replaced all my UV vanes with aae max stealth
