I thawed and opened a two lb vac pak of venison stew meat. Not sure what happened but it didnt have the same bright color as the other packs. Once I got it thawed out I opened it and it had a smell I didnt recognize. I tossed it. I was planning to use it for some stew to cook up to take to camp this week. No thanks. If it doesn't smell right to me I am not using it. It pizzed me off but whether I was pizzed off didn't change the quality of that venison. The rest of that particular deer was and is very good. Maybe a bad seal or not vac’d down enough on that particular package.
