I am looking to upgrade a basic hunting package sight that came on my Bear Alaskan. I've always used multi-pin, but I want to get away from the horizontal and go vertical. I'm also interested in possibly a single pin. I'm a rookie getting back into archery hunting. I'd like the bow to be capable in a ground blind (most of the time) but also stalking or 3D courses.

I'm looking at these 2, and I'd appreciate any real world experience:

Trophy Ridge Peak 5‑Pin (Vertical In‑Line Pins) and the Trophy Ridge React One Pro

Hard to beat a SpotHogg. Been using them for 20 years and never had any issues and I’m not easy on my stuff. I now prefer a 3 pin movable for hunting anywhere.
Just mounted a Boonie PM on my Hoyt and love it.
Not saying the Trophy Ridge isn’t a good sight, just know what works for me.

I don't know your budget but your choices are excellent and will both work great. I, like others here, have got to a point where I'm buying more expensive sights. My preferences are, HHA, Spot Hogg and Black Gold. I'm a sucker for new gadgets and "you get what you pay for" in archery, firearms, fly fishing, ad nauseam.

I do like the micro adjustments of the newer high end sights. However, I'm at the range practicing when I'm making those adjustments so I should be thinking "who cares if it takes me a few more shots, it's more shooting practice". Most of the differences in the high end and low end sights are features that aren't absolutely necessary. Once set, they're set. If I didn't want a modern slider I could easily go back to the flat metal plate sights with the screw in pins and be just as accurate.
