Upgrade from Exodus to Iron Will??

IW are a great head but not always worth the extra $ unless you really need it on a Big tough animal. I have used them on brown bear, moose, Cape buffalo, croc, musk ox etc. and they have worked well


A QAD exodus will work just as well on smaller animals and most big ones. It just comes down to your trust and if a few extra dollars for insurance on the shot matter to your wallet.

If you do go with IW the standard flies way better for me than the wides. The “buff” with no bleeder penetrates well

For my part, I like having good sharp blades and don't see it as a chore to sharpen my knife or broadheads. It's only a couple shots a year if we're lucky. What irks me more is crappy steel that won't hold an edge or bad design that doesn't fly well. I've been through a lot of broadheads but now pretty much just buy IW. I'm excited to put some 150 single bevels into some hogs in a few weeks.

I'm trying to understand how you upgrade from dead.

If you just want to try something different, I get it. I gave IW a try. Same with single bevel heads. I just keep putting a Magnus head on my arrows and I've damaged a few that were replaced quickly with no questions.
