Unpopular opinions

You don’t need a >$500 backpack, a <7lb rifle, or any of the other latest and greatest hunting/backpacking equipment to have a great backcountry hunt in the mountains. Why do you need to worry about shaving 5-10lbs of weight from your back when your hoping to haul 100+ lbs out?
I don't about you, but I carry around that empty pack for a lot longer than the full one.

Idaho is indeed full stay away
I've been to Idaho from west to east in the southern half...Id say Boise is getting there...but come on now...Arco is definitely not full. Satan's submarine surfacing in the middle of town likely keeps that place off the "let's move there" list for anyone just driving through and not reading the fine print🤣

I had to search that :)
After being decommissioned in 2000, the monument was placed in the roadside Idaho Science Center to honor Arco's long association with the Navy and the nuclear fleet in particular. Specifically, for just 60 minutes on July 17, 1955, Arco was the first city on Earth to be lit solely by nuclear electricity, thanks to the BORAX-III reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory (then called the National Reactor Testing Station). A more morbid record was that it was the first fatal nuclear accident, and so far the only one in the U.S.

Its actually pretty cool little bit of history out in the middle of nowhere...but to the random passer by...its a bit more like "WTF is going on here...did it just get hotter for no reason?...drive faster!"

Fixed broadheads are better than mechanicals.

No replacement for displacement for bullets (I 100% agree with this for drag racing)

The deeper you go the better the hunting.

Didn’t read through 14 pages but these are probably my top 3.

Suppressors for hunting are dumb. It's an overpriced tube that makes your rifle heavy, ungainly, and unsightly. It's not for your hearing protection - you can accomplish that for 1% of the price. It's an excuse for you to buy something because you think it's cool.
Trying to communicate with multiple people with ear plugs in is one of the most frustrating things you can do when you should be taking a shot.
suppressors allow full communication without ear plugs and missed opportunities.

Suppressors and ear plugs are both dumb while hunting. It’s a few shots at most. Just accept that some amount of hearing loss is gonna happen. I don’t stop drinking because it kills brain cells.
