Quite a few AB tests on youtube IIRC. AB8 w/reflex performs very well.

This is from one of their videos (annoying they didn't use a 3" reflex on the R6 to keep it on track). But in their setup seemed like 2 baffles was ~2db and 3" reflex was also ~2db. May be a larger jump when talking 8 vs 10 baffles to account for a bit more but its in the right ballpark (different conditions and flush mounted R8 vs the tested R10 with reflex at the summit).

Apologies. How is maintaining the same rifle OAL length and being 7 dB quieter a gimmick?

Or compared to the DD STi and AB Raptor 8- it being 2+ inches shorter OAL, smaller diameter; and being quieter for the former, and the functionally the same dBA as the latter- a “gimmick”?

Are you insinuating that the OG is as quiet as a DD STI?

If true, what are we talking about here?!? The STI is a great can. No one bickers about whether or not it's loud.

He just posted un edited video evidence with a sound meter. You have not and are kinda acting like a prick. Maybe you got a defective can or something? But as of right now you have reported your ear and iphone microphone while now essentially calling the above video posts a lie?

That makes more sense, I shot raptor 4 and no way it was quieter than my OG(both on 6.cm and 6.5 cm). it was also similar recoil wise, and that’s also about what I figure my Raptor 8 was +- with 3”, which reduces recoil more.

Now lets rock reaper numbers with 4” blast chamber w/1” diam hole.

Maybe the OG does better with 30cal and worse with 6.5 than other designs (you were shooting 6.5PRC right?), dunno how to explain your experience. If it was just you I'd say maybe you have higher frequency hearing damage so you personally hear more from a reflex can than from a non-reflex can. But you're saying what you're saying and he's showing what he's showing (and shooting an ultra 7 in each unedited video). All personalities removed from the situation I'm going with the decibel meter over your ears...

Point is until you can show your can metering at a higher level in the same conditions with other baseline cans you're kinda just talk for the moment.

You should bring your airlock to @sndmn11 RS suppressor summit. Ill be attending. There will be lots of bystanders there to observe and some great data collected!

I did in fact answer it. It is averaged correctly- as it should be. You can take the numbers given and add them up and see if it is done correctly, or just and averaged normally.

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make, the is inline with what he just posted. +/-1dBA which seems like a reasonable tolerance.

I don’t need a meter , I know what my ears say , and I know what my hunting buddies say when they hear the OG for the first time … and they’ve been beside me hunting with a raptor 4 for the last couple years …pardon the language
