I don’t think this sounds far fetched. Pets often respond differently to tone (apart from volume).I just have a hard time believing animals are reacting differently to different suppressor "tones".
Good question.tAll bullets will have a "crack" if they are supersonic. Does this negate a better tone from 350 yards away?
there’s still some things I’m not sure about but for the application form is talking about its certainly faster and more convenient for his use type. I definitely think it has a place in the world and would like to try it myself.Yes sir, I understand. This bag design is not trying to please everyone. It’s built for purpose.
I will say, that even people that hate the idea (@Dioni A ), after seeing how and why we load and use the bags the way we do- like it, and want one. Even @Ryan Avery wasn't super keen on the compartment, but after seeing it, I believe he likes it as it allows you to access the man bag without undoing a single buckle.
That's ever so slightly heavier than a raptor 4 with 3in reflex. The 4 is a little loud for my liking.
Care to share some your footage? I have a hard time believing tone has much effect on animals as well, but hard evidence is more definitive.I've used supressors to hunt and cull for 22 years. My experience is there is zero measurable impact on animals behavior between different supressor sounds. I thought there would be but I've seen zero difference, especially after I started filming shots where you can rewind and slow down and see the reaction of the rest of the herd after the shot. I've used reflex, non reflex, end-braked, unbraked, non hearing safe, quiet, "tinny", soft, steel, aluminum and titanium. Sample size of shots is very large due to culling. Its a good selling point though and I'm sure the market will use it to differentiate products and maybe there is a "tone" that really is different that I've yet to try. I'll say this is on African animals and not in the US.

What about a supersonic bullet crack coming from a dull suppressor? You don’t react differently to dull sounds than sharp crack sounds? Your dog doesn’t? Cats?
This isn’t hard, take a step back and think about it.
Formie, come on, if someone came at you with this argument, you'd tear them apart. You don’t react differently to dull sounds than sharp crack sounds? Your dog doesn’t? Cats?

I completely agree on suppressed vs unsuppressed there's a massive difference. I just havnt seen any difference when it comes to the tone of different suppressors having an impact on an animals reaction. This is using mostly Scandinavian and South African suppressors.I couldn’t say on African animals, but unequivocally on NA deer and elk suppressors make a massive difference.
At extended ranges animals react mostly to the sound of the bullet impact when suppressed, not the sound of the rifle. You will hear a big "klop" when the bullet impacts and it's that sound that the animals mostly react to.I just have a hard time believing animals are reacting differently to different suppressor "tones". All bullets will have a "crack" if they are supersonic. Does this negate a better tone from 350 yards away?
Suppressed vs unsuppressed I've seen an enormous difference in animal behavior. A herd may run a few hundred meters after a supressed shot and you can usually shoot several animals in quick succession. They will run miles away if it's unsuppressed and you will only take a single animal. Many places I hunt won't allow unsuppressed hunting because of the impact it has on the game.I have all kinds of different experiences with gun shots both suppressed and not suppressed. Sometimes they react, sometimes they don't. I have noticed they are less likely to react wildly, while shooting with a suppressor. To many variables in shots, for me to nail down why they react the way they do when I shoot.
So is this where "the wallop" comes into play? You will hear a big "klop" when the bullet impacts and it's that sound that the animals mostly react to.
