Well, I'm pretty happy with my cans, scopes, and pack at present. But, given that I wanted a light reflex can and none were to be had; and I would have preferred different scope specs, but had to settle; and I have a few Jerry rigged additions to my pack, I could be tempted.

Do you still have the SG wing pockets on your pack? If so, how do you like that set up?

I do. I like it overall, but loaded up they stick out to the side enough my arms hit them. They also loose a little capacity wrapping around the pack.

I pulled one off to use the Exo rifle carrier while skiing. The Exo carrier is ideal for how secure it is while allowing access without dropping the pack (as would be required with the rifle under a wing pocket).

More and more and more crap being force fed to the masses. Your stock doesn’t have enough negative comb. Your caliber is too big. Your scope didn’t pass a “drop test”. You’re can doesn’t have the best tone. AND come to our forum and we’ll tell you all about what you need!!!

I’m impressed this is the way they’ve chosen to monetize this forum. It’s def a crafty way to have done it, but I would personally rather have paid a fee than get more consumerism crap force down my throat.

If you do not like it, do not consume it.

I'm worried about the width of them on a fully loaded pack is my biggest concern. I just got my k4 so I'm still trying to figure out the best layout but I like the idea of the added wing pockets.

I used to have a Slumberjack pack that had a really cool concept for the side pockets that sort of acted like wing pockets. Not the best execution but I think I higher end pack company could do something really cool with the idea.

We are not stretched too thin, everything is going exactly as expected......
Thanks for the update on the efforts underway. But, to say that everything is going exactly as expected.....um..... Rokstok? (I do not "have a dog in this fight" - and have not followed the entirety of the 427 page thread very closely- as I do not plan on ordering one - - - but it seems like this effort has not progresses as planned.) Care to share any lessons learned from the Rokstok that you plan to incorporate in the future endeavors listed in the OP? Adjustments to product launch, pre-ordering, announcements, pricing, quality control, etc.

By "crap" you mean actually going out into the world and putting the work in to see what works and what doesn't rather than just dreaming up random BS and trying to convince people that it is somehow "better"?

Things that come to mind where the "crap being force fed to the masses" is being debunked here:
1. That glass quality is more important than functionality and durability for riflescopes
2. That classic lines on a stock are more important than a design that drives proper form and better shootability
3. That premium hunting bullets provide more "killing power"
4. That you need a cartridge with the word "magnum" in the name, or it has to burn more than 65 grains of powder, or launch a 180+ grain bullet at over 3000 fps in order for it to be effective on elk, moose, and bears.

Those are just the ones I can come up with while having my first cup of coffee. I, for one, appreciate the work people are doing and it is motivating to me to get out and do some work of my own. But, then again, I have always been a learner, and a bit of an "outside the box" thinker. If you are happy in your ignorance, I would suggest hanging out on a different forum. I hear there is an African Hunting forum that you would probably enjoy very much.

In your opinion, what cans on the market have a womf tone?

What part of the can design influences tone? (Number of baffles, spacing between baffles, orientation of baffles, shape of baffles, etc?)
The AB raptor has more womf as it also has a reflex chamber back over the barrel. Being they are pursuing that style of design as well it would seem to imply that larger blast chamber (in this case behind the barrel to save length) has much to do with the tone?

Other countries have had plenty of reflex style options available cause can's aren't stupidly regulated in those places.

I’d love to see a video of how the suppressors are 3D printed if it isn’t proprietary.

Animals react “worse” to the crack vs womf?

Yes. You generally see the difference when shooting animals in herds. Some cans you consistently get a reaction from the herd in one or two shots. Then some cans they react way less to, and you get several more shots/animals. This translates to single animals as well, but obviously it takes a lot more encounters to tease it out.

Mostly OTB/reflex cans. All those things seem to matter.

When can we expect to see that pack? I own an Exo and love the frame but the bag has way too many zippers and useless pockets for me. Was planning on trying to stick a SG bag on the Exo frame but this makes me hesitant.

When it is 95% complete.
It is not going to be for everyone. It is specifically being made for late season, rifle hunting with features and designs for that- large capacity, spotting scope/15x bino, puff suits, etc. One of the goals is to be able to access everything you need for a day- without unclipping a single buckle.
Having said that, the design allows it to cinch down very compactly.

I don't think it's completely clear, but what I'm seeing is that the tone preference is really just for having a sound that spooks the animals less instead of it being a pleasing shooter experience, right?

It’s for both. When people are facing away and “blind” listening to different cans, I believe we are 100% on people preferring the more hollow sounding ones. AB Raptor with OTB, OPS Inc, JK with OTB adaptor, etc. In conjunction, the less sharp the sound is, the less or slower animals seem to react.
