It’s rated for “bolt action 223” or something to that effect, but is marketed as a 22LR can.

I think this one has reached its practical limit for an efficient hunting rifle.

I’m working on a 13” 5.56 gasser right now that should finish out around 3.9lbs with suppressor, PA 1x prism, and an empty lancer mag.

Could a fluted chamber be the answer to ARC chambers in our straight pull rifles?

I though about the fluted chamber for a while now. I used to pick up LC cases from our department range. The highway patrol was using some HKs and the cases had the longitudinal stripes on them. The legend is that they are not reloadable so of course I reloaded them and they worked fine. I had an HK 91 style rifle at one time and never stopped reloading those 308s. BeardedGnome.

I wanted to give an update on this. I received the action back from BCA. While it was a bit better, the bolt would bind everytime I tried to cycle it. It seemed that by grabbing the bolt handle it induced enough leverage on the bolt to bind it up. If you held the bolt handle right next to the bolt, it would cycle since there was significantly less leverage on the bolt.

I sent BCA a video of it and they immediately sent a return label and refunded my money. We always want everything to work correctly when we buy it, but sometimes things just dont work right. I really appreciate a business that takes care of a customer quickly when those situations arise. Good job BCA even if your product did not work for me.
