Impatiently waiting on a Shaw barrel.
In the meantime, I want a traditional profile rifle. I don't want to spend lots of money... so here is an idea I had.

What if I ground off the area behind the trigger (where the handgrip fits on), ground off the castle nut area from the lower(not needed now since it will be a short bolt straight pull) and installed a butt stock. What I'd do is drill a hole where the red line goes through the lower and I'd anchor a big screw there like you would for a Remington 870. I think the caveat is that I could not do this with a poly lower, it would be too fragile. But I think with a aluminum lower it would be strong enough.
I know the normal AR15 set up is probably better for long range shooting but I like a more traditional rifle.
