Gonna have to look into the one from the OP, but wanted to throw out my suggestion - the Opinel 12. 120mm locking blade, round handle, and some panache at 4.05 oz on my scale.

Have used it for both. Its cut literal tons of firewood and thousands of branches and also skull capped a couple deer and elk.

I just reached out to him to get a 130mm we all mine are 170. Here’s some threads he provided as well. From Jan:

Regarding the updates, I made some small tweaks in the lock area and in the internal reinforcements which are now applied to all the handles I make. I also designed an alternative screw cap which allows changing the blade without a screwdriver. It is shown in this post: https://backpackinglight.com/forums/topic/ul-folding-saw/page/4/#post-3814488

The rest is the same as before, the price for one handle is $35, including the overseas shipping as a priority mail with tracking. The payment is made using PayPal to my address [email protected].

Got the same info. I am glad the handle is still a high vis color, but I was really hoping for the orange and black posted here earlier. Any reason you are picking up a 130 in addition to the 170 you have?

I guide a lot of hunters and most of the time I will gut them, the 130mm saw will be nice to cut the rib cage to allow easier access to gut. Also most of the time during archery I’m not having fires but it will be nice to have the 130mm just as a “just in case” saw

Here is the one I carry. A bit small sometimes, but at 0.78 oz with blade, it works. No chance on wood or heavily repeated elk (outfitter like) use.
