Turkey choke constriction question.

Definitely take pictures of the patterns going forward. Sounds like you got the bug, and you’ll want them to start comparing year to year as you try new ammo choices etc.

I didn’t do this at first either. Now, I’ll write ammo and distance on targets, snap a quick pic, and throw them in a specific album on my phone.
I’ve always had the shooting bug and have been reloading rifle ammunition for 3-4 years now. So know I’m playing the how to make this rifle shoot best game. I have all the equipment to reload shotgun shells so I could see myself going down the custom turkey load hole. But that after I figure out my rifles.

Perspective:
My .410 with 13/16oz T9.5$ puts 180 pellets in a 10” circle at forty yards.

I don't know what my 20ga with 15/8oz does because I got tired of counting. That's with the turkey choke. With factory full it prints a three foot wide pattern that will put ten pellets in the skull and neck bone target anywhere in it.

It's just an awful lot of pellets. I wouldn't bother with anything more than full on 12ga. If you're shooting at sporting ranges, there's just no point.
