The battery box came over the weekend and I threw it together switching between elk helper and Chukar walker trips. It opened up the floor space a bit over the cardboard box I had been using.

If you were one of my 8 insta followers you'd have seen some video...

What do you want to see specifically, and I'll go outside and make a short video. I was in central Colorado to start third season and there were 15-20mph sustained with alleged gusts up to 30mph. I was very worried that either the heater or the shelf were going to fall off with howuch shaking the truck was doing, but it was all fine

They did but it is just a placeholder. We had ordered a Heatlink to be installed, but they are retooling a new production facility and rebranding to Rokkla. So, Topo made the window insert to hold us over until they can send out a Rokkla port.

Hopefully this isn’t to much of a high jack.

I’m seriously considering buying some type of pop up, I used to sleep in my canopy a lot but not that I have a 5.5 bed tundra it leaves something to desire.

A lot of this deep dive stuff is over my head, the electrical stuff surely is.

In 2025 I hunted about 7 weeks totaling 8 tags and 3-4 states. Mostly I slept in my canvas cutter, but that’s only good if it’s dry.

Big hitters for me.
=I’m a cheap ass
=I want to leave my bedding up top, pretty much ready to go.
= I’m a single dude and a dog, and I doubt I’ll ever find a lady so not worried about max room.
= I want the absolute easiest to set up/take down.
I think I would probably use the 30” wide memory foam mattress I use now.
And flip my bag to the non mattress side so the camper would close?

So I think this narrows me down to a wedge style.

I’m highly considering Super Pacific, they seem to have a rep for quality and are only a few hours away.
I think all I’d order at first it lighting, heater, thermo puff which would put me around $18k

But GFC is having a sale until end of year and I could save quite a bit.
But it sounds like the quality is poor and I wouldn’t get the awesome looking heater.

Any input?

I have a couple buddies with the gofast and I have an AT overland wedge which I think is more similar to the superpacific features & layout wise.

I haven't heard or really observed specific quality downsides with the gofast versus my AT Overland, it's just more of a spartan feature-set. Granted I have never spent a night in one, only climbed inside my buddy's briefly.

Biggest change is the type of access to the sleeping platform. The go-fast bed platform is not on gas springs and instead relies on removing panels to provide access from the truck bed to the sleeping platform. the superpacific and the at overland I believe have the bed on gas springs and you just climb in from the end and push the bed up out of the way when you want to walk the length of the truck. In my atoverland at least there mattress and bedding compress enough that I can leave all my bedding in place and close the lid. there's a little cavity to tuck the pillows into.

As a single guy with no partner I suspect you'd be more tolerant of the compromises of the gofast if you wanted to save a few bucks. Also I have seen quite a lot of gofast available on the used market for $5K-7K rather than $15K-20K like what the new price is on all these things.

My buddy has an amazon diesel heater in a pelican case for his gofast and he says it works fine. Probably a lot cheaper than the Truma Heater I had provided OEM in my atoverland.

Also if you're close to superpacific you should check out Oregon Adventure Trucks in Bend. That's where I bought my AT camper and it feels like they get used ones in stock every few months that run $10K-15K instead of $15K-20K

AFter using a diesel heater a bunch of nights, for a few hundred bucks, I don't know why I'd be propane curious.

You should be able to leave your bedding up top on any of these if its a typical Roksliders down bag.

I think you'd be fine with a wedge, I still haven't sat at the nose of ours yet.

The electrical stuff can be handled easily with a power station, it's just a little bit less efficient from a money--> performance standpoint.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Super Pacific. One of my clients is actually Four Wheel Campers, who we didn't chose to buy, and both they and the owners of Topo Toppers have great things to say about the people at and quality of Super Pacific. If I had a mid size truck I'd get one.

I think mostly the super pacific tent material is a higher quality. And in there promo videos they claim they have thought about the PNW moisture and designed the tent that way, with good ventilation.

I also like how it pops straight up. Instead of out the rear, with most likely some kind of wire rod you have to pop in, that most likely won’t do well in the wind.


Go Fast is has a new launch price for the v2 max, which is longer for more pillow storage etc.
$10250 for the base setup if I order by end of year.

I actually live about 20 min from Redmond
I was going to go to Expo but my buddy bails last min and I didn’t want to walk around by myself.

And I’m afraid if I don’t order till expo this year it mite not be ready by season.

FWIW when I bought my AT overland: I ordered in November 2024 and it was installed in February 2025. It was made to order, not sitting ready to go. Not sure what their lead times are now or how SuperPacific compares.

I live in Washington, north of Seattle. I definitely recommend a roof vent + fan if you're worried about the wet. A little airflow does wonders. I have been impressed by the lack of condensation inside mine by comparison to camping in a fiberglass truck topper before.

RE: bed position.

so far I have not really lounged inside mine much either. What I appreciate most about the bed pushing up against the ceiling is being able to stand up pretty straight all the way up to the front of the cab.
I find that when I'm packing & unpacking for trips I very frequently will pop the top so I don't have to bend double to get stuff stacked & arranged in the truck bed and not having to juggle around the sleeping platform is super nice.

I just think I’d like the truma because it’s permanently mounted, and no fuel can to spill/smell
