I just bought a new truck and I am looking for feedback on what to add next with regard to storage in the bed.
On my last truck I ran a ARE topper. I live in western WA so it was nice to have to cover for the rain etc. However it limited what I could do with the truck as far as hauling and getting into the bed etc.
So on my new truck I am considering a few options and would like peoples feedback on what they think is the most functional choice. My family hunts and fishes, snow ski's and camps, so I am taking all these activities into consideration. I want to protect my gear and keep it from being stolen.
1. Folding Tonneau Cover
2. Folding Tonneau cover with a bedslide
3. Canopy
4. Canopy with a bedslide
5. Decked system- my truck has an 8 ft bed so if I add a decked system I would likely add a tool box in front of it as they dont make a decked system that is 8ft so you are left with about 19 inches to work with up against the cab.
6. Decked system with a canopy and flush mounted tool box
7. Nothing, leave it stock
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
