I only replaced it once this season but it’s because I forgot to turn it off one night and didn’t get out for a few more daysHow often do you put a fresh battery in?

24 hrs in and still kickingI honestly don’t. I just put a fresh battery in it and turned the illumination to 5. (To me the lower settings basically just turn the reticle red rather than actually illuminating it). I’ll check it periodically over the weekend and see when it dies

Cold weather will certainly result in shorter battery life. So I probably wouldn’t trust it to run for a full 5 day hunt, but I’m absolutely comfortable having it on for a couple hours each morning and evening. And from the looks of it you’ll probably be ok if you forget to turn it off one night.Sounds like you could turn it on at the start of a hunt and just leave it on. Good to know!
