Last night got a little better! We started to finally see some rutting activity and found a 160 class deer. 15 degrees in the morning and hoping each day will keep getting better and better. These pinions are hard to glass in...

Today produced only does. It was windy and cold. Not sure where/when the bucks will show up. We are planning a pretty big hike tomorrow morning into an area I doubt anyone has hit. We will see though! I found an older buck track today but wish I could catch up with him to see how big he is. Also, found a decent buck in a field on the way out this evening, I told him where to meet us tomorrow but he didn’t seem interested but I hope he changes his mind!

Am update is I able to help a in here until the end. Trav spotted one small buck so far this am. We are about 3 - 4 miles in no hunters around. Saw a bald eagle today and that is always good luck!! I am keeping track of a group of does hope I see a hanger on and travis headed into another basin. Going to give it hard the last 3 days!

No buck hit the dirt today, we hiked around 9 miles and nothing to show for it but a good time and a lot, and I mean A LOT of laughs and good memories.
We found this buck this evening. He’s everything we are looking for expect points, width, tine length, and mass!

Wow I don’t do much deer hunting this time of year, but it seems like that guy has a huge body on him. Too bad he doesn’t have the antlers you’re looking for to go with it!

Following along for the finally. Just got my Colorado trip on Thursday evening. Good luck.

We’ve been seeing quite a few does this morning but no bucks bigger than a small 3x. A storm is blowing in and it’s extremely windy.

So we saw a total of 130” of antler between the 4 bucks we saw on public land today. We did see probably 40-50 does though but nothing chasing them... it was windy today and we have seen a ton of buck tracks and sign but nothing on hoof. We have a good game plan for the morning tomorrow and I hope we can seal the deal on a big buck. Here are some photos from today. We came into town mid day to see some bucks and get our spirits up!

We were having trouble finding deer this evening until I looked back at the truck!
