Snow rolling in and out w a inch on the ground as I type. 2 smaller bucks a 3x and 150” 4x so far. Got a feeling it might be a bad day to be a bigger buck over here.

Found another 150” 4x that was with a much bigger buck Travis is on the track staking now. Hoping for the best. It is a better buck for sure.

This is a big smart buck. He backtracked 2x and did circles 3x...

Bumped him out of his bed in the thick stuff. No shots. Going to go slow the next couple until dark. Smart old buck looped up above his track then backtracked n bed - looking back up his track.

Well we tracked him up until the snow covered his tracks and it got dark. Such a smart buck and hard to outsmart him in that fingery pinion country. He made so many veteran moves but started to slip up towards the end. After he bedded down in a spot watching his back trail, he jumped off a rock that would break a human. No exaggeration, flat footed, he jumped off a rock and landed over 30 feet horizontally and 10-12 feet vertical.

This picture doesn’t do it justice. He is a smart buck that will live to see another day( or season)

I can’t thank colorado enough for his hospitality, taking me hunting, and funny stories. You are truly a great person my friend!
