Great pics guys
I've been trapping for 20+ years and have loved every minute of it
Sadly the fur trade in the south makes it tough on selling but predator control trapping is actually on the rise down this way and its really the only way to maintain a decent deer/turkey population
Keep up the good work

A month or so ago, my son decided he wanted to explore trapping so we snagged a few foot holds and went to a buddy’s property last weekend. While we haven’t had any luck on our target animals (yotes and fox), we did manage to snag our first critter on a dry set.

I grew up on a river and trapped a lot of beaver and rats in the late 90s so this got me excited again!

This boar was just shy of 30lbs.

My first coyote the first day I set the traps. Unfortunately I only caught a fox and opossums since then. I started late deer season and it seems like end of November most animals move to the neighboring property because I see very little animal movement as compared to earlier in the season the place is covered in deer and yotes

Well looks like my picture won’t upload now

Been a while since I got to trap much. Sure want to get back at it. I feel like trapping played a big role in who I am. Nothing better for getting kids in the outdoors.
Yep, my oldest boy loves it. Coyotes aren’t worth much, but do it just to keep my boys interested!

It's late but I'm finally getting some sets out this coming weekend. Got some yotes, few bobcats and another nice fisher on camera. Finally got my one and only fisher back and up on the wall. Was definitely worth the wait!
A fisher is on my bucket list. Might have to do one of those guided trapping trips to get one on the wall some day. Very cool critter.

I was going to send you a PM about one of your posts, but I guess I can’t do that for a week. Would it be possible to get your e-mail if that’s ok to ask for on here? Thanks
Well I’d have to post my email publicly. Don’t really want to do that. I will see if I can pm you.

Most recent sucesss. Friend had a few of these old long springs in his attic. Man they still are fast!

Curious what percentage of trappers here put up their own fur? As a relative noob to it I can't say I find fleshing much fun or enjoyable. Skinning isn't bad though.

One of these days I’ll figure out how to post pics
In 7 days I’ve caught 6 yotes 3 coons 1 bobcat 1 possum
Been wet and rainy down here for several days now and got several more days of it
Hard to trap in the mud
I always have a 5 gallon bucket full of sifted dirt and I’ve almost used it up

Any reason the trapping success pics thread is in the predator hunting subforum and not the trapping subforum???

Picture of my first wolverine. It wrapped a 7ft long 1/8th snare up into an 8" long mess

Trapping is a newer form. Some trapping stuff used to be posted there before.
