Good Morning!

Every year around the 4th of July we take a trip to visit my wife’s grandparents in Sequim, WA before heading down to Oregon to fish. For 3 years now we’ve been making the trek to the OP and I have not been able to figure out the fishing up there. We have only had luck fishing for salmon in the sound with conventional tackle and have caught a few trout in Cresent Lake. We have tried fly fishing the Hoh, Sol Duc, Bogachiel, the Calawah and even the beaches for sea run cutthroat for years with no success yet. I know this is not the best time of year to go but its just when the trip falls. Does anyone have any recommendations on which river to really hone in that time of year or any technical tips to help us catch some fish? I just want to catch fish and don’t care if its steelhead, salmon or trout. Feel free to PM me as this area in the summer has left me frustrated and anxious to leave for Central Oregon where the fishing is good again lol.
