Trapping success pics

What are your reasons for not liking footholds? Just curious.

Honestly, it’s just me personally, I don’t have any problem with people using them but I feel bad when I do it. I like a quick kill.

Lures and urine have been ordered and received. We start about end of Oct for coyotes then late Nov for bobcats.
Some catches from past 2 years.

What kind of lures/bait do you like to use? I primarily use Andy Weisers stuff but also use Western Cats and Muddy River fur. Luckily I have a buddy with a coyote and he collects urine so i use coyote urine about 100% of the time as well.

We're going with some John Graham lures and coyote urine and some Lennon lures and bait.
Tomcat, Badlands Bob and Deception from Graham; Natures Call and Coyote All Call from Lennon, bobcat urine coming too.
John recommended we might want to try his Grab and Pull and maybe Super Bonanza. I might order some after our moose hunt.

I enjoy coyote trapping about as much as I do trying to get them to come a electronic caller. I really like making the sets that fool the really smart ones.

I wish I had more time to devote to trapping, I really enjoy it.

Been a while since I got to trap much. Sure want to get back at it. I feel like trapping played a big role in who I am. Nothing better for getting kids in the outdoors.

What size stake are you all using on the coyote sets? I've only trapped coons and a 24" rebar stake seems to hold them. Would think a coyote would take more.

Great pictures and love to see the kids out with mom and dad trapping. I haven't trapped since High School and I miss doing it. I do love to call coyotes though and I'd love to get a wolf that way. Heading out in a couple days to see if I can call one in.

I'm a member of a group called Montana Sportsman for Fish & Wildlife. We are a very active group fighting to protect our outdoor heritage. Our Mission Statement pretty much says it all. We are all about families enjoying our outdoors. Here's a link to our site and our mission statement says this.

Just depends on the ground. I use rebar or chained superstakes or cabled wolf fangs or drags or augered stakes I run in the ground with a ½" cordless impact. It just depends on the ground conditions I'm trapping in.
