Total Archery Challenge 2025

I signed up for Red Lodge, MT in June...any other RS'ers going there? This will be my 3rd TAC event (done OK the last 2 years). I'm shooting Prime at 7am on Friday and Sitka at 7am on Saturday.
My son, wife and I'll be there. Friday, Jack links @ 8:30, Saturday RMEF @ 7 am, then Sunday Prime @ 7 am. I was Lucky as I won 2 passes in a drawing and only the wife had to do the madness of registration.

I about to sign up for Red Lodge by myself. Can someone tell me how I end up in a group? Will they put me in a group for the day?

I have done the southeast one the last 4 years. Doing it again in TN this year. Also planning to head to one out west or north this year as well. Looking at either CO, UT or SD
Did you sign up for TN? I’m shooting the Sitka course Friday morning. Will probably stick around and shoot the Prime or yeti one in the afternoon

I’m signed up for TN. Friday Leupold and Saturday Jack links!

Got myself and a buddy signed up for Terry Peak, Leupold course Friday to get warmed up and then Sitka course Saturday. Looking forward to it, I love that area of the Black Hills.
Will be doing Friday and Sunday this year Saturday filled up before our group got in for it. Will be our 3rd year doing terry peak. Love that country.

I knew they filled up fast, but I was still surprised. I had it up on my computer and clicked the button within a second or two of it going live, and was still in the mid 300's for my number in line.

Yeah it’s insane. Glad it’s drawing that many folks but that part makes it a serious pain in the a$$

I'm going to Terry Peak, SD. I have 9:30am Prime slot on Friday and a 7:30am Sitka slot on Saturday. I'm excited to hopefully be able to shoot all 4 courses! This is my second TAC, I did Colorado last year and that was a hike that whooped me. I'm really focused on getting in better shape so hopefully SD feels easier and it'll help my fall hunting regimen. If anybody has those slots or close to those slots let me know!

TN was awesome. I think next year I’ll travel further for more terrain and hopefully better weather lol

Vermont TAC was a good time in spite of the weather. It was warmer than the Forcasted 30's with rain and snow. The down side of that there was a lot of fog with little wind. With all the fog I decided to pick up an orange hat at one of the vendors. The fog delayed the Prime and Sitka course starts until close to 10 on Friday so we chose to shoot Jack Links which started a little lower on the mountain and had less fog. We still had a hard time seeing or getting a range on some of the longer targets.

The muley was around 100 in the fog. A lot of times you would rage 20 times and get 21 yds on a 100 yd taget then get one reading of 98 hoping that you were actually on the target when you got the reading.

For those that have shot TAC you can appreciate "FOAM IS Home" , I barely caught home on this one. He was one of multiple sheep that gave us a hard time on the Sitka course on Saturday.

This sheep on a 65 yard steep uphill paid the price for the antics of his sheep brethren.

Overall it was a good time, we met great people and enjoy scenery even with the fog. There were a few people who went over their boots trying to retrieve their arrows from the black bear by the waterfall.

After we shot we picked up some IW broad heads and a pair of Crispi Nevadas from the vendors then headed to the parking lot for some tailgating.

Fridays lunch was doe poison glands on French bread with a gorgozola sauce..super easy.

Saturday's feast was veni burgers with fresh ramps we found on the course and left over gorgozola sauce...YUM
