Top rut moved into OnX search tools

Some has been fixed. Some has not.

I think it's easier to sell a product like this at a profit when you just throw up data and let your paying customers QA the software design and create the "bugs list" for you. Rather than employing staff that design and catch bugs prior to release. Some of the logic errors have shown a very basic lack of understanding of the odds nuances in western draws.

Exactly right. HRT feels like such a bottom of the list project I’m still convinced that a third party is writing this code with minimal oversight from anyone who has any experience with hunt draws.

I just read through the draw reports that the states put out for free and make a decision off of that.
Been doing that. Honestly just a lot for my mind to keep track off doing multiple states at the same time so was hoping for a useful tool to help streamline it.

I do the same but a quick n dirty sort like we had with Toprut sure was nice and more intuitive than the gohunt product.

The OnX tools have been updated with Wyoming 2025 odds but they still didn't add Special to the report.

Seriously @onX Hunt how can you update the WY odds and not fix the missing Special draw data??

It would also appear corporate is looking to cut their problem child loose ...

So I’m hearing go with gohunt ???
They don’t have a quick and dirty sort either. And they also have data problems. And map problems.

I still have both but certainly not happy about it.

Competition is good. And I don’t think OnX can drop HRT. They both have to compete with a combination map and odds product.

Also, by rule, non-residents are not able to draw a sheep tag when there is only one sheep tag available for a hunt, and they are showing there is above zero odds for non residents in these one tag scenarios... all wrong. Its too late for the elk draw, and the deer draw is coming up.
One year later and OnX Hunt Research tools still hasn’t fixed this issue. WOW, can’t believe we pay money for this product. They have to zero out the column for all these 1 sheep tag units. But they are still failing to understand this nuance. Just one of many nuances OnX HRT doesn’t understand.
