Take a look at Diamondback truck covers. Ship to your door. No drilling. I have the standard on my gmc diesel and it holds 400lbs on top.

I can promise you will like it or they will take it back.

I can send any pictures you need
What he said I love mine...I am working on a custom bed rack for holding coolers and other items that doesn't look so much like a ladder rack for it.

Have a Bakflip on my truck that has been there 9 years (since 2011). Just now starting to leak. Gonna replace this year and get another one. I think it was the G2 mode.

I greatly appreciate everyone's recommendations and first hand experiences. After way to many YouTube videos and online reviews, I have ordered a BAKflip MX4. I will try to remember to update this thread with my initial review once I receive it and get it installed. Thank you all again.

Bakflip MX4 Quadflip on a 2015 F150 6.5’ bed. Love it. Easy installation and removal. Does really well at keeping moisture out. An intense car wash will get thru but even at that water is minimal. I do recommend you get a brand that can be completely folded up and able to be held up against the rear window (I don’t mind losing rear window sight) in case of hauling large cargo without having to remove entire hard top.

Received my Bakflip MX4 on Friday afternoon and had it installed in about 30 minutes. Installation was super easy and I am really liking the looks and function of it. I am headed on a hunting trip next week and look forward to testing it out even further.

I had a Jackrabbit on my previous F-150 and was very happy with it. I have a Retrax on my current one and am happy with it as well. Between the two is a bit of a toss up - IMHO, both are really good. The downside to the hard top retractable is that you lose some bed space, but for me it is more than made up for the convenience and security that it provides.

I have a backflip on my personal truck and a retrax in my work truck. Retrax is awesome but expensive. It looks sharp and is easier to use than the trifold systems.

Another fan of the Bakflip MX4 here. My previous truck had a soft cover and I like the hard fold-up cover much better.

Bringing this back to the top.

Looking for a tonneau for my truck. I’d like to carry some weight on top of it. My two top choices are mentioned. The Extang simile fold 2.0 and the Bakflip. Extang rated to 600 lbs and the backflip to 400.

I know there’s others out there that are rated to 2000 lbs but I’m not going to pay $3000 for them. Looking for first hand experience on their advertised rated weight. Thanks !

I know it's not what you asked, but I got the UnderCover ArmorFlex tonneau cover yesterday. It's rated to 400lbs like the Bakflip, but coated with Linex on top so it doesn't fade or scratch like the Bakflip. My buddies love their Bakflips but have complained about the fading, so I went with a Linex coated option. Haven't put any weight on it yet. Might be worth checking out.

What exactly do you plan to put on top of the cover and why?

Coolers, bags of feed, shoot whatever. Trying to keep the bottom clean and to add extra room.

Maybe my quad based on the feedback I get. Quad is only 400 pounds so in theory it should be fine with the Xtang.

I like the Diamondback but would prefer it open more for access for tall items

The more I look and read and watch YouTube the more I want the Diamond back. I just am not sure about not having more room when I fold up the panels. Specifically for a dog kennel.

Anyone able to give some insight/ thoughts to that?
