I have a design for a small section of pic rail made out of titanium. I’m still working on the lightweighting cutouts, but if there was Interest in these it will get me motivated to get them Machined.

should be able to get them about the same weight as an aluminum version, but much stronger being made out of titanium.

sure its intresting, but, What is the cost vs a seekins or apa rail? My 2.75" apa rail weighs 0.81 oz and costs $50. I feel that the pillars used to attach the rail to the stock would induce more flex then the rail itself. Is bipod rails flexing a problem that people run into? I feel even my atlas bipod has more flex in it then the rail on the stock and its a pretty solid bipod.

Would love to see it made similar to this lil guy! I have one these on almost every rifle. Screenshot_20200717-091742.jpg

Cost wise similar, weight wise similar. Mine would have a more universal mounting surface. And stronger, even if that strength isn’t needed. And some people just want titanium. 👍👍

Is there a reason why you need that much length on it?
Not really. The open center with one rear hole allows for a variety of fitment with dual front sling studs, very flexible. The flush cup qd sling mount is nice, even thou most my stocks run driver side cups vs on btm. My new bipod requires the rail to be mounted as far forward, basically to the end the stock, having the flexibility in mounting allows me to run my t-nut and bolt a little ways back from end of stock and still be able to get the rail to the end. I could take photos to elaborate more.

If the cost is equal sure, but if weight and function is the same I won’t pay extra just to say I have titanium, I’ve never really cared about titanium though.

^^^ This. I'm not paying more if I don't get something extra out of it (i.e. weight savings) but if cost is in line with other rails then I'd give it a look.

Can’t argue with that, I’m the same way. Most of my stuff is titanium because I make it myself and like machining it! Appreciate the input guys.

I'm all in for a few 3" skeletonized pic rails as long I can be adjustable with hole center spacing. That's the nice feature of the 4" area 419 unit.
