Nice! To be sure we're on the same page, it's a WSM and not a win mag? I want to set up some version of a roughtech (probably the tungsten cerakote Cabelas exclusive) but will likely have to order/ship to store and just want to know if it's even realistic to expect that a 10" will show up before I go through the process. Sounds like there might be a chance.Bough it in June of this year and yes it’s stamped on the barrel.
I’m elk hunting or I would get pics.

Awesome! Glad to hear they're popping upIt is definitely a WSM.
This is the one and where I bought it. It doesn’t specify twist rate in the description but had them confirm before buying.

I called Beretta customer service today and he said that their product managers and import teams still don't have any info as to when they will import ANY 1:10 twist .300 WSMs. He said the late 24' models (October and beyond) will be stamped 1:10. But if they aren't even going to be here this year, I may just scratch the .300 WSM and pick up a Superlite 10 twist .30-06 like you recently bought. Does yours have "1:10 twist" stamped on the receiver?FYI at my sportsman's and Scheels all the 308, 30-06 rifle are 10 twist. They also finally have the plain old superlite in 6.5 PRC. I just picked up a 30-06 superlite. No 300 wsms. Unfortunately I don't know if 300 wsm is all that popular. I turned my old 30-06 into a fast twist 20" 6.5cm. now that I have a 30-06 Tikka in 10 twist I can sleep like a baby and my OCD has been cured for now, I'll find something sooner or later to obsess over. It's a beautiful day for Tikka.
It says 10" on the barrel. I know this is an older thread but I’m hunting the same conditions with a sako 300wsm with 1:11 twist from about 2008. It was free so I can’t beat it. Will 180 gr stabilize well enough in the conditions listed with 1:11”?Any lead bullet you'd want to shoot from a wsm, yes. There are probably some boutique heavy for caliber copper bullets that would require more twist but in that case their sleek lighter bullets are probably a good choice anyway.
Yeah I’m considering swapping barrels on mine too rather than buy a completely new rifle. I have some Norma bondstrikes ordered in 180 gr. Should I order some Nosler accubonds too? I’m just trying to have good shots at 300 yards. Gonna go out to the range next weekendI shoot 180 AB from my 1:11 300WSM with real good results. I tried the 200AB and had okish results around 1MOA. Bryan L's stability calculator says the 1:11 was just a little suboptimal for the 200AB. I don't know if the twist was a factor in my less than spectacular accuracy. I was able to pick up one of the 22.4" threaded 1:10 twist 300wsm stainless new take off barrels on ebay and will do the swap after the season and dicker some more with the 200's.
I can't predict how any factory ammo will shoot, always seems the only way to know is to test. In any case the 1:11 in your sako should well stabilize either the 180 Bondstrike or the 180AB.Yeah I’m considering swapping barrels on mine too rather than buy a completely new rifle.
