So long story short i bought a T3x lite in 6.5 creedmoor on clearance from my local Academy about 6 months ago. Took it to a local smith and had the barrel cut to 16 inches and threaded. I have finally got around to getting a scope on it this weekend. This gun is intended to just be a buggy gun and my first Tikka to play with. Initial attempt to sight in sunday with suppressor on it was horrible. Gun was shooting so far to the right that it was almost a foot off. Came back in and tore it apart. Cleaned and rechecked and torqued everything. Took it back out yesterday and same results.
Came in today after work and took it out and shot it unsuppressed and first 3 shots were just left of bullseye. Screwed the suppressor on and took a shot and it didnt even touch paper. Took another shot and aimed far left edge of target and it hit just outside ring and high. About 15 inches right.
Removed suppressor and put next 3 rounds almost in bullseye. The can is a Gemtech One, super heavy can and i have shot it on several different rifles and never experienced this. Anybody have any thoughts? Is the weight just throwing the barrel harmonics off this bad? Where my finger is pointing on the white target is where it impacted with can on. Other shots all unsuppressed.
