Tikka "Rokslide Special", let's see 'em

Seriously, what’s with the metal shavings? UM has been great to work with for me and I will continue doing business with them. I would’ve done the same ditch the adapter and shoot it. Precision arms adapters have worked great for me.
Of the 6-8 different adapters I’ve used I’ve yet to find a turd

Not finding what I am looking for searching but what ammo would you all recommend stocking up on for the 223 Tikka Rokslide special? For Target and hunting… the 77 TMK from Palmetto?

Yes and if you search the 223 thread you'll find a lot of recommendations. Practice: Adi is generally considered good, Hornady frontier, palmetto, and some others. Hunting: palmetto 77tmk, maybe palmetto 75 sabre, black hills 77tmk when you can find it, not sure about other hunting factory options

Bottom looks good. WTF is going on in that top picture?

The top were the thread adapters from UM, the end diameter of the tapered shoulder was smaller than the barrel at 18”. Which looked dumb, but did work.

It kept getting stuck to the can and coming off the barrel threads, so I torqued it down like heathen using my leatherman and scratched it up good.

Then I gave up on it, the hub adapter in the right threading is nicer, and as a bonus one less set of threads stacking tolerances.

Got many rounds through the Jolene ?

Shot 80 rounds of 223 and 40 rounds of 243 this morning. 73 eldms and 95 sst’s.

The Jolene did great, no complaints. Ive only used a handful of suppressors so I don’t want to pretend like I have a refined ear for them. That being said… it was quiet, it cooled down quickly (38 degrees out, no cover on the can), and there was no first round poi shift when letting it cool and switching between guns.

Both of the specials shot as good I can shoot them, right around 1.5 MOA for groups of 10. After sighting and grouping at 100, I shot out to 545 at a 12” gong with both and made impacts reliably.
