Kodiak Canvas Flex-Bow vs Cabin

Go with 2 flexbows. Solid advice here. Trust me. Those cabin tents are a PITA to set up and tear down by yourself. I set up the flexbows single handedly in 10 minutes each.

I’ve got the 10x14 flex bow and have had 3 guys with cots in it no problem. Just have everyone slides totes under the cot and you’re good to go. I’ve had it in some real cold temperatures and ran a big buddy all night on a little bottle of propane and it stayed warm enough.
I do plan on buying a cabin and a stove though, just cause there’s been a few nights where the buddy heater kept it tolerable but certainly not toasty warm. I’d like the wood heat to dry stuff out and the added comfort.

Ours takes about an hour to set up. That stupid vestibule is nice but it leaks like a sieve and is a BITCH to put up. The cabin tent is nice, but unnecessary IMHO. It easily sleeps three though.

Two of these is where its at for 2 people. Keep your gear in one and your sleeping stuff in another. So much easier and faster to set up than that cabin tent. Cabin tent is more spacious for sure but there is a LOT of room in this flewbow.

Anyone use a canvas tent like the flex bow in a humid environment? Unsure I want to invest in one knowing I’ll move back to the SE united states in a few years. The humidity on the coast is brutal and I am unsure if I’ll ever be able to get it fully dry before storing.
Before storing in humid conditions i would bring the tent in basement and either drape it over something or lay it out on pallets. With dehumidifier running in basement it would dry the canvas nicely.
