Tikka "Rokslide Special", let's see 'em

Raptor 6,

How do you like that Raptor 6? Suppressor is on my list for this year and I’m flip flopping on A-10 in 7.62, Raptor 6/8 or just waiting for the new Unknown Suppressor in June? It primarily spend time on my 18” Tikka 243 but will also spend practice time on my 18” 223 Tikka….at least until I spring for a second suppressor.

I’d go with the 8 especially if it’s going on a 243, even on a 223 to my ear the raptor 6 is more uncomfortable than I’d like.

.223 RSS 16” with 7.62 A-10 is very much so hearing safe. I am not a suppressor expert however I like the sound and ear safety it provides. A-10 is 7 baffles I believe and half price of the raptor. It works great on 6.5 creed as well. In saying that I am going to try grab an unknown when they come out for my 6.5 to shave a few ounces off my preferred hunting rifle. My 2c

This might be what I end up doing, A10 762 for the time being then move that to my 223 and put an Unknown on my 243

Mine is in the making. Going to be a 280AI. I didn't like the Tikka recoil lug, so I had my smith face the action and put a LRI Remington-style lug on it.

Does anyone have an idea what the freebore is on a factory tikka 223 chamber? Is it wylde length? Longer? I know typically Tikka has them a little or a lot(think 65cm) longer than saami.

From a recent one, 75 ELD's were .030" off at 2.410".

This is jammed at 2.460", jammed shoots notably better in this barrel. Hope that gives you something to extrapolate from.

Carl Happy Easter!....20k jam, quite a bit does that pull bullets upon extracting unfired round? Does it push bullet into case if it doesn't pull the bullet?

Happy Easter!

20k, and the neck tension is such that it can be extracted, and measures the same before and after.

I used to jam bullets fairly often and never had an issue if I was reasonable. Got away from it, but this barrel was a dog by my standards jumping. Doesn't set the world on fire jamming, but it's better. I have a Preferred coming from the LS group buy to replace it.
