Tikka mags: Orange, 223, flush, etc. project / future product

Being fully transparent. I noticed an issue that doesn't seem to affect function but bothers me, I will be tweaking the models that are affected to address it. My springs don't compress down quite as far as the factory springs.

Using the 223 model / print as an example in the photo below. The magazine snaps in securely, I can't pull it out, but the rear of the mag isn't completely seated when 4rds are in the mag against a closed bolt. As soon as the bolt is pulled back it seats itself and functions completely fine in my rifle, this is why I did not previously notice it.

I've sent out that initial wave of 223 mags and have some more printed already (half are annealed) also. Since these are functional (haven’t heard a report otherwise and they work in my rifle), just not optimized, I'm going to knock off $5 for anyone that wants this version 1 that has this issue and will get a V2 dialed in before printing more for release. I will be reaching out to the folks that previously purchased mags offering a partial refund or an exchange if they would prefer the V2. I will run through the request list I have on hand offering up the V1 mags at $30ea or if they want to wait for fulfillment with V2.

Please don’t reply here asking for requests, email them, [email protected]

Mine haven't come in yet, should be here tuesday. I'll evaluate when they get here but just curious, is it only when loaded with 4 rounds? Fully seats with 3?

Appreciate your transparency and being up front. Solid move on your part.

Yes fully seats with 3. With 4 rounds it securely clicks in just fine, I can't pull it out of my guns without hitting the mag release. But the rear is being pushed out ~1mm by the bolt, as soon as the bolt is pulled back it fully seats itself. Hence in terms of function there aren't any issues on my rifle and none I have heard of yet. It secures in place and cycles fine. If I wouldn't have mentioned not sure if anyone would have even noticed, I didn't until I was working on dialing in a mag for a different cartridge.
