Tikka Lite vs. Varmint Accuracy

Hi guys, I'm looking for first-hand experience on the accuracy of Tikka .223 Lite/Lite Stainless vs. .223 Varmint. I've narrowed my next rifle down to these two, and the weight difference won't be an issue for me.

What kind of groups do you get with your Tikka .223?

I reload for .223, enjoy shooting small groups off the bench, and might use it for an occasional coyote hunt.

Thanks in advance!

Mechanical accuracy would be luck of the draw. Shootability goes to the heavier rig.

If weight isn’t an issue than definitely go with the varmint. No questions asked. No reason to go for a lite gun if you’re gonna be bench shooting. It’s just a .223 but still less recoil and that much easier to spot your own impacts.

I have a T3 varmint 223 1-8 twist. I only shoot paper testing loads and zeroing after a scope change but it groups 69gr MKs and 77gr MKs 3/8" and less. It usually one hole with H4895 or Varget.

The 1:8 twist Tikka I had with heavy barrel, was picky in it's ammo preferences. It loves 77 gr Sierras
