Getting ready to load up some 140 accubonds in a 7mm08. Has anyone here benefited switching out their mag to the M+ and either cutting or changing out their bolt stop with this load.

Thanks for any input

M+ mag works with a 308 bolt stop, so should be fine with a 7mm08.

But what weight bullet are you shooting? Is it necessary for getting the most out of the 140 accubonds?

It'll work if you want to go to the extra trouble, but in my years of experience with this combo, 140 AB's at 2.800 COAL at 2800fps is a killing machine with great accuracy.

LA stop with a LA mag for mine. I believe I load to 2.95 oal with a 120 TTSX.

Interesting.....my experience with TTSX is that they like lots of jump, not close to the lands. YMMV.
They still have a lot of jump with the factory chamber. The original intent of the long action set up was to make case room for the 150 eldx. I just never found a load the gun liked.

‘Tis but a scratch!

Yep, I like the LA bolt stop. I use the Berger method for finding seating depth so I start just kissing the lands, then move backwards. Impossible to do with the SA bolt stop on the Tikka, regardless of bullet.
